That’s not to say the two devices can’t be used together at all, however. Dalrymple goes on to explain that if you have a ‌HomePod‌ and ‌HomePod mini‌ in the home, they can be used to play your music in different rooms. Apple’s new Intercom feature will also work on both devices.

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Government Cloud Services Obtain FedRAMP JAB P-ATO Accreditation

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Government Cloud Services has obtained a Provisional Authority to Operate (P-ATO) from the FedRAMP Joint Authorization Board (JAB). The accreditation continues to demonstrate that OCI is a compliant, cost-effective, and highly-secure platform for our public sector customers most critical workloads.

The JAB is the primary governance and decision-making body for the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP), the government program that sets the standard for assessing, authorizing, and monitoring cloud systems’ security. FedRAMP offers two types of authorizations: Agency ATO and JAB P-ATO. NEC Pioneers Technology Allowing Lagless Virtual Rehearsals And Performances During COVID-19

New England Conservatory is pioneering a program which revolutionizes rehearsing and performing during COVID-19 – and beyond.

New England Conservatory (NEC) and Grammy Award winning vocal faculty member Ian Howell have revolutionized low-latency music-making using cutting edge and affordable technology for musicians and music educators. Research on how to keep feeding the planet while preserving wildlife rewarded with the Volvo Environment Prize 2020

GÖTEBORG, Sweden, Oct. 13, 2020 /PRNewswire/ —  The world is losing species at an alarming rate. The forests and wild areas of the Earth are rapidly transformed into farmlands, pushing wildlife into steep decline. A way to reverse this catastrophic trend is to change the working lands – agriculture, forestry, and ranches – to more diverse landscapes to preserve biodiversity. Conservation biologist Professor Claire Kremen is this year’s laureate of the Volvo Environment Prize for her world-class research on how humanity can feed itself while protecting biodiversity.

National parks and reserves have been the cornerstone of traditional nature conservation, such as the Serengeti or Kruger Park in Africa. Without these national parks, it would perhaps not be possible to see wild elephants or lions anymore. But only about 15 percent of the world’s surface is protected. The lands where humans are farming, doing forestry, and ranching make up

Company Reaffirms Ryzen 5000 Support On 400-Series Chipsets

Motherboard manufacturer Asus has confirmed it’s 400-series chipset motherboards will still support AMD’s new Ryzen 5000-series Zen 3 CPUs.

The company was forced to issue a statement today following a supposed slip up by one of its customer service representatives. In a post on Reddit, one user claims to have been told by Asus that the company would not be releasing new BIOS versions for its older 400-series chipset motherboards to allow them to work with Zen 3 CPUs such as the Ryzen 9 5950X. As a result, owners of said boards would not be able to upgrade their CPUs.

Instead, the representative suggested purchasing a newer motherboard to replace the user’s premium X470 model. AMD has been quite clear that X470 motherboards would support Ryzen 5000 CPUs and recently confirmed that motherboard manufacturers were working on BIOS versions accordingly, with 400-series boards
