Attorney and Former Journalist to Lead Expansion of the PR Firm’s Offerings in Energy and Sustainability

Raffetto Herman Strategic Communications (RH Strategic) today announced that energy industry PR veteran Loretta Prencipe has joined the agency’s growing Washington, DC office. Prencipe, an attorney and former journalist who is well known for her work in energy, sustainability and technology public relations, will advise the agency’s growing portfolio of companies.

“Loretta brings a diversified view of the innovation economy, and the high stakes communications challenges that come with it. Her experience advising clients in rapidly evolving industries will complement our team of strategists as they help CEOs, marketers and government affairs leaders navigate fierce competition, public policy scrutiny, and reputational crises. We’re pleased to add her to RH Strategic’s leadership team,” said John Raffetto, co-founder and CEO of RH Strategic.

Prencipe won the 2020 SABRE award for developing a campaign to secure a global trade policy solution for the U.S. hardwoods industry. Most recently, Prencipe led Makovsky Communications’ Washington, DC office and its Energy, Manufacturing and Sustainability Practice. She provided strategic counsel to leading associations, law firms and corporations. Prior to that, Prencipe worked with MSLGroup, SunEdison, the Energy Storage Association and the Department of Energy. She currently serves on the board of the Women’s Council on Energy and Environment.

“Energy, environmental and sustainability issues are front and center in Washington and throughout the United States – creating challenges for a broad range of organizations – from utilities to big brands. I joined RH because the firm understands this and has unparalleled expertise in delivering campaigns that shape policy, manage reputation and build market share,” said Loretta Prencipe, RH Strategic Vice President.

“In 2020, public affairs and corporate communications have played a heightened role in helping to manage the headwinds from a challenging political environment and economic downturn. RH Strategic clients have turned to us to help them navigate these uncertainties in the important Washington, DC market,” said Jen Bemisderfer, managing director of RH Strategic’s Washington, DC office and Public Affairs Practice Lead. “I’m thrilled to work with Loretta to extend our expertise and offerings to energy and public sector clients.”
