DEL CITY (KOKH) – On Thursday around 10:57 p.m., officers responded to SE 47th St and S. Sunnylane Rd. in reference to a shooting suspect in connection to a shooting in Del City.
Witnesses told police that the shooters were in a grey Honda and the shooting occurred at the intersection of SE 55th St and Darla Dr.
Officers arrived on the scene and found a car that matched the description with significant damage to the front passenger wheel well and another car with front end damage.
Tommyon Laquan Scott told police on the scene that John Howard, 37, flashed a light at Scott then started shooting while he tried to escape.
Reports say the incident started as Road Rage in Del City and escalated to a shooting.
Initially, all parties claimed they were the victim and nobody had a firearm, and nobody shot at anyone.
Officers recovered a handgun near the vehicles in a trashcan with a live round near it.
Scott was transported to the Oklahoma County Jail and charged with Aggravated Assault, Use of Vehicle in Discharge of Weapon, Using Offensive Weapon in Felony, and Assault & Battery.
