The next worst performing sector is the Materials sector, showing a 2.9% loss. Among large Materials stocks, West Pharmaceutical Services, Inc. (Symbol: WST) and Albemarle Corp. (Symbol: ALB) are the most notable, showing a loss of 7.1% and 6.6%, respectively. One ETF closely tracking Materials stocks is the Materials Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLB), which is down 3.0% in midday trading, and up 5.50% on a year-to-date basis. West Pharmaceutical Services, Inc., meanwhile, is up 78.37% year-to-date, and Albemarle Corp. is up 28.54% year-to-date. ALB makes up approximately 1.5% of the underlying holdings of XLB.
